Across rural Africa, livestock farmers face a triple challenge: declining pasture quality, rising feed costs, and cattle that underperform - all in the context of worsening climate shocks and a rapidly growing population.
Over 50% of Africans now face food insecurity, and nearly half of the continent’s land is at risk of degradation. Most rural communities depend on smallholder farming - yet yields are stagnating, and the livelihoods behind Africa’s food systems remain fragile.
Afrimunda is a woman-led regenerative model that turns this challenge into opportunity. We equip farmers with climate-smart grazing techniques that restore soil health, improve livestock productivity, and open the door to future revenue streams - including group input access, carbon finance, and premium meat markets.
Afrimunda is building an integrated, regenerative supply chain - from grazing, to carbon, to meat. It’s a scalable, farmer-first model that drives productivity from the soil up, strengthening rural incomes, and creating new value across African food systems.
Profitable. Practical. Built to grow with farmers, not just around them.
We’re launching our first pilot in early 2026 with 30 farmers across Zambia’s Copperbelt region.
Together, we’ll co-develop and test regenerative grazing practices that restore pasture, improve livestock productivity, and build resilience.
Between February and November 2026, participating farmers will benefit from:
Hands-on workshops covering grazing planning, herd management, business skills, and recordkeeping
Access to remote veterinary guidance and support for preventative animal health
Soil and forage testing to establish baseline ecological health, including carbon levels
Practical monitoring tools to track grazing days, fertility, and animal performance
Afrimunda was born from my belief that regenerative livestock systems can unlock real, lasting value - not just for the land, but for the people who rely on it.
I’ve spent my career working across complex livestock systems in the UK and Central Africa, and I’m passionate about sharing practical, scalable solutions that build resilience from the ground up. Especially for women, who so often carry the invisible load in rural farming communities.
This isn’t just soil restoration - it’s about building a model that values enterprise, and empowers communities to lead the change.
